Penny's redeemed themselves!

Okay so we've been going to JCPenny's for all of Boo's pictures thus far. I was so totally disappointed in the last visit there I almost went somewhere else. But, thank goodness we had a different photographer this time and the pictures turned out AWESOME!!! I was so happy! I asked about the lady who took Emma's 1st pictures because I really liked those and turns out she's the manager of the place, go figure huh? But, this lady did a very good job too. Which is good, beacuse I had baby powder in the diaper bag and I always keep my pimp hand strong! Lol, jk. But, in a couple days they should be available online for you to view and/or order if you wish. I will be sending a couple out though. We don't get them for two weeks so hopefully they get to you by Valentine's Day!! These are her 6 month pictures and they are so adorable!! I cannot wait to get them. She did such a good job for being so tired (she passed out right after we we're finished, poor dear). But, anyway it's supposed to be around 50 degrees here tommorrow (Saturday) so we'll go outside and take some pics!
Here's the info to see the pics online from Penny's (usually takes them a few days to post online just keep checking):

Okay, maybe I've been slacking...

Okay, okay here's a new post, I know I've been slacking a bit. Tring to get taxes done as well, we want our money!!!
Boo caught a cold, so she has had trouble breathing at night. She wants to breathe thru her nose only but its all stuffed up so she's had some trouble. She's fine though if you hold her, off to sleep she goes (little stinker!). Anyway, tomorrow we are going to JCPenny's to get her 6 month pics done. I will post the link tomorrow and be on the lookout in the mail for her darling mug! But, for now here's some pics of baby Emma from the past few days. The princess t-shirt she got for x-mas from Nana and Grandpa. It's already tight around her tiny little tummy! We bought a couple 18 month and 24 month outfits at Carter's and I'm sure she'll be in them in no time. She started out as such a tiny little sweet pea and now she's a a big sweet pea.

Then & Now

We took a family outing yesterday afternoon to Omaha. First we stopped at the outlet mall to shop for Emma at Carter's (like I keep saying she's growing so fast it seems like we're always buying her clothes). They had the cutest little preemie outfits there. Preemie in Carter's brand is for babies up to 8 lbs., its what size Emma wore for the first about month to 6 weeks of her life. I can't really remember when she was that little, I blame my lack of sleep. The first 3 months actually are almost a complete and utter blur. I miss her being that small and falling asleep with her head on your chest, it was so precious. But, then again there are many things I do not miss. Feeding her for 12 hours of the day, being so ridiculously tired all the time. Trying to figure out why she was crying for 4-6 hours straight! Yes, thank the Lord we figured that out. But, you kind of know why people have more kids, they grow up so fast. These first 6 months seem like only a couple days went by...But, alas no thank you I do not want another baby. Emma is perfect, why mess that up? Someone that I chat with online had a baby in July, like Emma, and she's pregnant again! She's due in May, her kids will be 10 months apart!!!! I told her she must be crazy! I love it just me and my Emma Bear, we don't need a fourth family member (well sixth if you count the fur babies, but I don't). I enjoy having just her to play with. Then sometimes when I say that people call me the crazy one!? So is life...

Back to normal?

Well, hopefully Emma is back to normal. She's had a pretty good day. Just crabby because of her lack of naps but, overall I think she feels much better.
It's been snowing and blowing all day long! Not much for accumulation but none the less its snow. There is a good chance for snow everyday for the next 10 days, agh! I know if anyone up north is reading this they're like, "You think it's cold there?" Yes, I know it's not that bad but, I'm really not that fond of snow. Especially since Boo likes to go places it's hard to take her because of the cold and wind. Plus, all these sick strangers in the stores keep coming up to her, touching her hands. Which by the way, are going to be going right into her mouth the second you let them go, ugh it's just gross. I am by the way a huge germaphobe and a self-proclaimed hypocondriac ;)
Hope everyone enjoyed the video at the bottom of yesterdays' post. If you didn't see it, just click on the play button and it should start. It's hard to tell if it's a video or a picture.
But anywho, here's some more picture of the little darling, say "cheese" Boo!
The pics of her with a bottle are a bit deceiving, it's just water in it! But, she hasn't had a bottle with water in it for months, I gave it to her so she wouldn't be so dehydrated from all the diarrhea. And what do you know picked it up and fed it to herself! I didn't have to hold it at all! What a smart baby! I love to brag, can't you tell! ;)

Happy 6 month Birthday Baby Girl!!!

Ahh, Emma's first 6 months have passed by so quickly. Today Emma was happier in the morning but once 5 o'clock came around the you know what hit the fan. Hopefully we can take her into the Dr. tomorrow, maybe she has an ear infection? I need an answer because she's so sad. She's never like this. She only had a little mud butt, so that's a good sign. :)
Anyway, back to the 6 month old. It was 65 degrees today!!!! Plus, it was sunny and there wasn't a trace of wind, absolutely perfect!! It was such a gorgeous day that baby girl and I headed down to the park. It was her first time there, she loved it! We swung and swung and swung. Then, daddy surprised us and met us at the park! He got off work early to see his princess. She is just growing like a weed, buying 18 month old outfits already!
Here are some pictures from our time at the park this afternoon, enjoy!

Boowie! ;(

Oh my, my little Emma dear has been sssoooooo cranky lately!! But, I guess I would be also if I had the mud butt so many times that I lost count or if I threw up all day long. Yes, that's what she's been doing today, poor thing. She must've caught a stomach bug. She just wants to be held, doesn't want to play unless she's on your lap. She finally went down for a nap about an hour ago, her first one of the day. And let me tell you what, when she fell asleep it was like the heavens opened up and the angels in heaven began to sing. It was glorious! I hope the water we gave her helps and she doesn't get dehydrated. Also, she's usually a good night sleeper, just waking to eat, then right back asleep. She usually sleeps from 9:30 pm to 9:30 am (give or take 30 mins.). I hope she's able to get some rest tonite, the poor poopsy has had such a rough day. Say a prayer for her to get better, I hate to see her so sad. I will post tomorrow and tell you how the nite went and how she's feeling. I will also post tomorrow because it will be her 6 month "birthday" tomorrow! The pictures in this post are from earlier in the week.

This and That

So last night Emma met some boyfriends ;) A friend of Matthew's had 2 month old twin boys, Cody and Riley out yesterday. Emma was happy to talk to them, they just stared at her. I wish I would've taken a picture, darn!
Oh well, Emma always seems to be the talk (probably because she's always smiling and giggling!), everywhere we go they say, "oh, look at that cute baby"! It's very flattering, even though she is the spiting image of her father!
Here's a couple pictures of Emma outside today. It was a very nice day, about 50 degrees or better. She's watching her daddy shoot his bow and arrows in the backyard. She absolutely loves to get fresh air, also exactly like her daddy! She's very funny! When it's nice outside we go out to get the stink blown off, if we come in too early she cries until we go back outside. Like she's saying, "Momma I'm not done exploring yet!" Yes, she's very headstrong, smart and independent little lady, and I'm very proud of her!

Old man winter needs to take a hike!

Boo and I are so crazy tired of this cold weather! :( We used to go on walks everyday but, sadly now it's just too cold windy! I cannot wait for it to warm up a bit, we're getting cabin fever. I think we may start going to the library for preschool story time just for something to do. your supposed to be 3 years old to 5 years old to go but, whatever I took Sam when I nannied for him. People didn't seem to care that he was a baby. Plus, the library is really close to our home, about 3 minutes away.
Here's my big dilemma today: trying to figure out what diapers to buy when we go to Target later. Emma needs to move up to size 3 and the diapers she currently uses only go up to size 2 leaving me with 2 options but I've heard nothing but bad things about both of them. Agh, so we'll see if I pick out the good ones!
Here's pics of Nana and Grandpaw at Christmas at our house in Nebraska.

Double Thumbing It!

Okay, so about the past month or so Emma has found her new favorite way to suck her thumb(s). She has always enjoyed sucking on her hands and thumbs since birth but she's found a more enjoyable way of doing so. It's so cute! Whatever is at her disposal, a blanket, a blanket friend, her shirt, any fabric really, she wraps it around her thumb and sucks on her thumb through the blanket or what have you. It is so adorable! I will watch her today and snap a pic so you can see just what I'm talking about. Boo also likes to suck both thumbs at once, she sometimes even sucks her thumb while she's nursing! Now that's funny! But, sometimes she just prefers to suck one thumb all by itself.
Anyway, a bit off topic but after she turns 6 months old I'm thinking about trying some dairy. As most of you may (or may not) know, Emma is very food sensitive. And since I'm breastfeeding, whatever gives her a tummy ache I have to avoid and believe me it's a long list. Nothing dairy, no eggs no nuts. Now that doesn't mean just milk, cheese, ect. anything containing milk. If you make a casserole with 1 tsp. of butter I cannot have it. We have to read every label carefully. Needless to say my menu is very short I've been bored with it for months now. But, in the end it's worth it, it's only a year of my life. So I'm done complaining:)! I will let you know if I do decide so dabble in a tiny taste of dairy in a few weeks, who knows I may chicken out!
Here's a couple random pictures of Boo, enjoy!

Very 1st Post!! Why so early????

So baby girl decided that 7:20 (she usually wakes up 9:30-10:00) was a good time to get up this morning. I have to disagree:). We'll anywho, she's down for a nappy and about to wake up so this'll be quick.
I cannot believe in 11 days she'll be 6 months old! This is going way too fast! She's already sitting up and the past 2 evenings with Matthew she has held herself up on all fours (knees and hands that is). She'll be crawling in no time! It's so neat to watch her grow and learn.
I feel like I cannot take enough pictures or give her enough hugs and kisses.
We very much miss Nana and Grandpaw, it seems like they were only here a day. Hopefully, we'll see them soon. Also, we cannot wait to see Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Olson, we really want them to stop by on their way down south again this year! It's tough when you don't have any family living close by. Matthew has family but, no one from my side even lives close. I think the Kennedy's and
Michelson's are the closest living 8 hours drive away. :(
Just FYI Emma has many nicknames I may refer to her as like; Sweet Pea, Emma Bear, Boo, Big Boo, Emma Jean, Sweetest of the Peas, Bumpkin, Pumpkin Butt, Baby Girl, and Mrs. Toots just to name a few.
I'm hoping to post once a day (at most) to once a week (at minimum). I'll post pics and videos as much as I can. I'm so excited to be doing this hopefully it'll be a way for family living far away to see Boo in action!
AAAhhh she's awake got to go!
